Thank you Lord for entrusting these two little ones to our care. I could not love them any more.

Best Christmas ever, our Austin arrived just in time to join in the fun!
A magical Christmas!
Making Christmas cookies with our Kakky!
Kaitlyn was in charge of sprinkles. Beautiful I think!

He's here
Our sweet little man arrived on December 22, 2011 at 9:14 am. He weighed 7 lb and 11 oz and was 20 inches long. He arrived VERY quickly after we got to Presbyterian Plano, and we found a doctor available at our OB practice literally just in time. The delivery nurse was calling around trying to find a doctor who could deliver our little man. I felt very safe and secure having the nurse deliver him, so either way was fine.
It was certainly one of the three most incredible moments of my life thus far. The other two being marrying my best friend and delivering our precious Kaitlyn Grace in 2009. There is just absolutely no feeling in the world like seeing a miracle from God for the first time and holding his sweet, tiny little fingers.
First words out of the doctor's mouth after he was born..."wow, he is really active!" Hmmm..... Check back in two years for updates on his toddler-hood!
Here we are as we are checking in on Wednesday. I was in labor and LOTS of pain, but not enough labor, so they sent me home. Yikes. We spent the day trying to rest and went walking around the Galleria that night. That did the trick...
Less than 24 hours later, we are back.
Here's my sweet Dad and brother. It meant the whole world to have my family there with me that morning.
Break for the actual delivery. :-)
Can you say Happy Kakky?

L-O-V-E
Look at these two snuggle bugs. We finally relented and let Kaitlyn watch "Christmas Barney" last night and she smiled just like this during the entire twenty minutes she watched. Daddy was captivated as you can see, and exhausted from his fun weekend (mentioned in yesterday's post).
This warms my heart!

Bad blogger's update
Wow....I find that my free moments are spent happily reading and snuggling with Jason and Kaitlyn, or we are bustling about putting the final touches on Austin's sweet little nursery. Where does the time go? I am thirty four weeks pregnant now....he will be here in no time at all. I have tried unsuccessfully to take a picture of the bump....Will keep trying. I think that my tummy has not gotten too big yet, and then I see a friend/family member/co-worker who reacts in shock at the size of my belly. I am so happy he is thriving in there!
Today I go for the normal two-week check up. I am not sure if I start weekly checks from here or not? I just can't remember. Being 31 is wreaking havoc on my memory!
Jason had a wonderful time on his annual guys' trip with his Baylor FIJI friends. They spent the weekend in Waco and saw Baylor beat OU....for the FIRST time! I am so happy for those friendships that have lasted over years, miles, and LOTS of kiddos between the group. One of Jason's good buddies thinks the wives and families "may" be included for just a brief time during an upcoming get together ;) we shall see. I am just so glad for these solid friendships in Jason's (and mine by extension) lives.
Back to work! I do promise to post better updates between now and the little nugget's arrival. we are so excited! Kaitlyn rubs my belly and says "Baby Austin come out the tummy! Two months!" Yesterday we told her it's just "one month" now!

Kait / Lil' Kim
Just a couple of pics of our little lady. Here she is on one of our Thursdays together, watching a little Barney with Molly and I.
This was taken just yesterday. Jason says she looks like "Lil' Kim" here. I think it is the rhinestone peace signs on her pants, front and back of her hoodie, PLUS the sparkling pink shoes and iPhone accesory ;) I threw in the big white bow for more of a traditional touch to the outfit. Hey you can only pull off this look for so long, so we are seizing the day.

Why God made Goldens
Molly had such good time playing in Kaitlyn's "tent city" last week. Kaitlyn had already abandoned her and moved on to the next thing, but Molly stayed around to hold down the fort. Sweet, sweet doggie. (Baxter was downstairs "guarding" us in the foyer.)
