Mom and I had a ball working on the nursery this weekend. I am in the middle of my first real sewing project which actually involved a pattern with trim, notions, all of that fun stuff. It is an organizer for the changing table supplies which will either hang over the side of the changer or on a cute little wall hanger that Mom painted a while back. It will definitely NOT be a perfect finished product, but I really had a great time making it and spending time with Mom. I cannot wait to fill it with baby powder, lotion, Desitin, etc.
The dogs are exhausted from following us up and down the stairs about a hundred times as we played around with different fabrics and things in the room, to make sure everything was just right. They love their Gran Kakky and I’m not sure they are ready to share her and Papa’s affection with this human grandchild!
Molly is storing a few of her favorite Wilson 2 tennis balls near the baby’s crib. Every morning she runs in there to check on her tennis balls and give a little sniff to all the stuffed animals. One of them is a yellow giraffe that plays “Rockaby Baby” and it seems to play just a little every time Molly comes by for a sniff. She hasn’t tried to eat it…yet.
It is so nice walking into her nursery that has so many touches of TLC in it. Now all we need is the little princess in our arms to bring home to this room!
Jason had a great time with his buddies on their annual guys’ weekend, which was in Tapatio, TX (near Burney) this year. He will be the last in the group to become a Daddy, and he is blessed to have this great group of guys to talk with and help us through what will definitely be a big, but wonderful, transition. And his friend Scott is an MD in Oklahoma City and he reassured us that there is a VERY good chance that she’ll flip out of the breach position and a c-section may not be necessary. I would love that!
